The Gym Sox won the World Series (yes, as in stinky, disgusting, keep those away from me Gym Sox). I was going with the Rockies all the way, but I saw the writing on the wall after Game 1. So, as I said after the Sox won their last World Series, quit your whining New England! You got a win.

Funny, Hysterically Funny

A friend of mine was recently upset when a charitable organization refused her donation of clothes because they were not "stylish" enough. They are in perfect condition, but out of style. The less fortunate must be in style. She was able to find another group that found nothing wrong with these clothes.

This is a story about charity. Accepting charity. And being selective about accepting charity. It is very unfortunate that many people cannot be grateful. It is even sadder because many of the more fortunate are less likely to share their fortune if they feel it is not appreciated or wanted.

I understand my friends feelings. I was contemplating donating my hair to a well known charity that makes wigs for children going through chemotherapy. Then I found out my hair is unusable. Long as it is, it's not long enough. Oh well. I guess it will have to be used for birds nests again...
